Turner Strategies
An internship in Editorial, Research, PR, Blogging and Social Marketing Super-Intern is offered for Spring 2008 at Turner Strategies, Washington, DC
Turner Strategies is a cutting-edge, boutique communications firm that specializes in cross-media communications strategy – how to use the interplay between traditional and new media – to help a mission or message break through in today’s overcrowded and cacophonous information environment.
We seek a media-savvy editorial, marketing and PR super-intern to develop/support blogs and social networks. You will help drum up interest in issues, collect submissions from contributors, and take a leadership role in positioning and building-out online communities. You will also write articles, perform online outreach, and conduct good, old-fashioned media relations.
This will be a great experience if you’re "into" and comfortable using the Web - blogs, MySpace, Facebook - and have a deep interest in progressive issues, particularly environment and women’s issues. You must be a lively writer, detail-oriented, comfortable with minimal supervision, and motivated by the level of responsibility and opportunity this internship potentially offers. We hope to be surprised by your creativity and great ideas.
This position requires 25 hours of your time a week - about 18 hours on site, and 7 hours in cyberspace whenever and from wherever you choose (though you may opt to spend all your time at the office because the Turner team is so much fun). This is a paid position.
If interested, please email cover letter and resume to gloria@turnerstrategies.com Please include links to your web work.
